DATE CHANGED!! - May 25th 2024

Voluteer day

10am - 5pm.

PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND SO I HAVE AN IDEA OF NUMBERS.

An opportunity for customers and local people to come down and help out with a few jobs around site or to just come and hang out for a brew and a chat and learn a bit about what we do here. Lunch will be provided for anyone who wants to help out.

I may have some produce for sale as well including plants.

Please wear appropriate clothing including sturdy boots/outdoor shoes. It's amazing how many people turn up in their fancy trainers and moan about them getting dirty. ALso a rain jacket if it's looking like there will be rain but we won't be oursuing too much outdoors activity if it's raining hard.

Farm visitors’ info.

Site address:

94 - 96 Glebelands Road, Sale. M33 6JR

The entrance is a track way between houses 94 and 96 on Glebelands Road. Sorry but there is NO PARKING on site. Go up the track and turn right and you will find us there. There is no signage on the road to indicate where we are. Follow the directions and you will find us!

DRIVING

The Rugby club behind site have kindly agreed to let people park there if they are driving – Trafford MV RFCC. Finny Bank Road, Sale. M33 6LR.

Google maps link for the Rugby club: https://maps.app.goo.gl/F5UFFyDLPe7AW4K17

You will then need to walk back up Finny Bank and left onto Glebelands – should take about 3-4 minutes.

Lawson Grove or Finny bank road are your best bet for on road parking should the rugby club be full for any reason. It’s best to avoid parking directly opposite the site entrance on Glebelands Road as the people who live there take serious exception to not being able to park outside their own houses (I know it’s BS but I need to keep good relations with the neighbours and I have to deal with them long after you’ve gone).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The tram is probably the quickest way from the city or Altrincham.

There is a tram stop about 10 minute walk from site at Dane Road which comes from the city via Old Trafford and Stretford. It also comes from Altrincham in the opposite direction, and it is the Purple line you want. It runs from Piccadilly train station and Piccadilly Gardens. Once you get to the Dane Road stop, come out of the tram stop and turn left onto Dane road and follow your nose. Dane Road becomes Glebelands Road once you’ve crossed over Cross Street (A56 – busy main road) we’re about ¼ mile on the right-hand side just past the Busy Bees Nursey.

There is also the 263 bus which runs from the city to Altrincham and in the opposite direction and there is a stop on Cross Street (A56 – busy main road) at the junction with Dane Road/Glebelands Road. Come down Glebelands Road and the entrance is just past the Busy Bees Nursey.
